Isn't this a pretty picture? It's the last Christmas picture I'll share with you for this season. It was a pretty display on my kitchen table, but confusing for Margie.
While I was in the kitchen Margie called out from the living room that she was going to eat some of the candy in my jar. I said, "Fine." Then I thought, "I wonder what jar she's talking about... Wait, I don't have candy in a jar!" I heard some clicking noises & turned around to see Margie with a handful of little glass ornaments. She thought they were candy! I hope I didn't scare her too much when I yelled. She did get to eat some of the candy that you see there in the photo... just not the glass balls!
My sister had a baby on Christmas Day. A few days before that we opened gifts here with Margie while Mark & Lauren were still here. She still says, almost every time we talk about them, "I'm glad Mark & Lauren are getting to live with their dad." She still knows who they are but is a little confused about how everyone is related.
Anyway, when I went by to pick her up she asked about my sister. The last time I had talked to her she mentioned that after the baby comes SE would have her hands full with four kids. I was really impressed that she remembered how many kids my sister has. But on this drive she said,
Margie: Has your sister had the baby yet?
Me: No
Margie: How many kids does she have?
Me: This will be four.
Margie: Does she know what they are yet?
Margie's other son & his family sent her a little photo album of family pictures. I thought that was a great idea. It was a bit confusing for her too. Seems like one page was skipped - no photo - so she thought that was the end. She said, "There's not many pictures in here." We had to turn the page for her & show her there were more. Her son called a few days later to see if she got it. She said, "What photo album?" So, if you talk to her on the phone she may sound fine, but you may still need to talk to Glenn to find out what's really going on. :-)
But physically she seems to be doing okay. Just a little dizziness but no fainting spells. She has to be really careful with what she eats. She's been having some stomach problems. But still nothing more than usual. I'll probably bring her to church this weekend.

Beautiful "final" Christmas photo! You've been quiet, I pray everything is going well with you and family. Happy New Year!
