Lauren's Book

I don't think Lauren will have time to read my blog in the next few days so I'm going to show you some sneak peeks.  I'm going to try to finish it before Sunday, when we take her out to eat with some friends as her going away dinner.

Sneak Peeks

Well, I'm exhausted after our shopping trip today. Jo found a few things on her list and we hit some great 75% off sales. She tried on a lot of clothes. Then we came home and cleaned out her closet so everything can hang up now. Oh, the blood test went well, too -- or as far as a blood test can be.

Tomorrow some friends are going to take Jo to see Horton Hears a Who. Glenn & I have to work. Then we're going out to eat with some friends we need to catch up with.

Another Album

I'm still thinking about my next album but haven't done anything. That's usually how I work. I spend more time thinking about it than actually doing it. When I finally get around to it, it won't take me long to finish. That started me thinking about one I made for a friend at Christmas. Then I realized that I never posted the photos. So here they are -- Christmas album photos on Saint Patrick's Day!


This was made for another musical family so I used some pages from an old music book that had been scribbled in. That's why there's a little purple crayon on it. The dedication fit their family so well I wanted to use it anyway.

The 2-page layout below turned out to be my favorite. We always end up laughing so hard that we cry when we're together! :-) So we have a lot of fun photos. And I just had to add Mickey Mouse ears to the photo of the kids when they went to Disneyland (by themselves!!!). Yep, that was a little hard for this mom & dad but just a little step toward next year when Lauren moves to Michigan.

I used shipping tags that I stained with coffee. I don't think I bought anything for this project. Just used what supplies I have. I could probably make a book like this for everyone I know without buying any more supplies! I have sooooooo much paper!

Family Scrapbook

Now I can share my latest creation! I made this for Granma's birthday but then when I realized she was coming out for a visit I didn't mail it. We gave it to her Saturday night. This was made from a Bo Bunny Word Album and it was LOTS of fun to make. I printed all the photos in sepia so they would coordinate. And I only used blue papers because we all know that's G-ma's favorite color.






This was a happy accident. I love how the kids are peeking out from behind the letters.

There are more photos. I'll upload them to my Flickr account. Lauren asked for a book, too, so I guess I'll get started on my next one now.
