This has been an eventful week! Lauren arrived Tuesday. Glenn had to work (extra rehearsals... this is also the week before the Christmas program!) so he didn't get to come to the airport but we did bring Elizabeth. Notice how we're all bundled up with our winter coats, scarves, gloves, etc, and Lauren's just wearing a sweatshirt!
I really think this is the coldest week we've had since moving to Northern California! We even had a couple of days of snow on the mountains. Before Lauren came home, Jo & I were sitting in the living room watching TV when we heard a loud noise -- like someone was trying to get in our house. We looked outside and there were four HUGE turkeys walking down our sidewalk and two more on the roof! I think they slid down to get off. This is the only picture that turned out. And they were REALLY big. Reminded me of the raptors in Jurassic Park! :-) Scary! Yes, we really do live in the city even though we have turkeys & raccoons trying to get in our house.
