So, L's grad was Monday night in the Pavilion. There were over 400 students -- we lost count. But it only took about 2 hours. We learned some California traditions. I had never seen graduates wearing leis before. One of my coworkers asked me Monday if I had bought a lei yet. I didn't know what she was talking about. She said I just HAD to get a lei. She has a friend who is a florist so she called her while we were at work and asked if she had any left. They were out but she called around and got a couple for us. (Another coworker's dd also graduated in the same class.) My coworker showed up at graduation with the leis and balloons for the girls. We were surprised!

Lauren's Graduation
We ended up knowing quite a few people there. These kids are all in our youth group together. Each grad could invite 20 people and we knew some of Lauren's friends families and friends. It was quite a party. :-) As you can see in the photo above, the guys wore blue and the girls wore red. There were lots of leis, decorated caps, and flip flops. After receiving her diploma, Lauren pulled out a sign that said, "Yay!" I didn't get a good picture of it. Maybe Gary did? I'll share it here if I get one.

Did you read that each person in Andy's class presented the school board president with an Oreo cookie! Then the last one gave him a quart of milk.
I noticed the lei in the previous post & wondered if she'd been to a luau! (did I spell those right?)
