The Next Chapter...

I haven't really felt much like blogging lately. In case you didn't know my mom found out she had cancer in January, she went into the hospital, was sent home with home health care, then hospice, then to a nursing home, and she passed away on February 11. Everything happened so fast. I feel like it didn't really sink in until I got back home and it still feels very unreal.
During all that we found out that Glenn's mom has vascular dementia and her doctor recommended that she not live by herself anymore. She lives back in Texas and we're in California. She had been forgetting to eat and take her meds.
We were hoping that she would be able to live at home with some home health care & family members coming over to help her but Glenn came home today with the news that she is going to have to go into the nursing home tomorrow. He can't be there but he's going to try to call while the RNs there and Margie's brother will be there to help her pack.
I'll blog about the cards later.

wow, that's alot to take in for you guys. So sorry about your mum. I understand where you are right now. That is the way my Daddy went...so quickly. A blessing in a way, but I ended up feeling very cheated at the end of it all. I am also saddened for your hubby and his situation with his mom. Hard decissions and alot of upheaval coming their way.

Your family will remain in my thoughts. Good luck to you all.

I so sorry about your loss. I lost my father last May. I was walking around in a fog for months after. Wishing I had said or did something different, before he died. Time is or friend, and I know he is with the Lord and get peace from this. I will pray for you and your family.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom, and for the situation with your husband's Mom.
Last May my Mom found out that she has cancer and it has been a roller coaster ride. She is back in the hospital right now.
It is really hard to watch these woman, that are SO loved, suffer! Thankfully, our hope is in Christ and we KNOW that we will be together forever someday!
You and your family are in my prayers!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and all that is going on with your mother-in-law. I love the pics of the cards. It's comforting to know that we can "Cry to Jesus." You're in my prayers.

G'morn, Ann ~ Prayers are lifted for your Mother's soul & your heavy heart. And, for your MIL ... we've walked down that path with my MIL ...

Only time can soften the pain & loss.
May your days be blessed, He holds you all in His heart.

Have a beautiful day.

You are so right. It is all very hard to comprehend. I am very glad that we had time to count our blessings (family) before it all began.

.... speechless (still? again?)
I love the cards. I needed to read those cards tonight. The cards and your comments ... well ... how does one cover all that in a comment on a blog? You know you were in my heart all along and now that we're passing M your direction, my heart goes along with her to you again. Jenn
